Jake Paul Betr, W and MVP: The Business Behind the Boxer

Jake Paul co-founded a betting app, a Walmart body care line and a boxing promoter. Here are the documented funding rounds, product shifts and partnerships behind Betr, W and Most Valuable Promotions, with lessons for founders.

Jake Paul’s business record is broader than most creators’: instead of one merch line, he has co-founded a regulated gaming company, a mass-market body care brand, a fight promoter and a venture firm. The Jake Paul Betr story is the largest of these by disclosed valuation. Below is what releases and reporting show about each company, and what founders can take from the way they were built.

Where it stands: On September 8, 2026, Betr relaunched as “Betr 2.0,” adding prediction markets through Polymarket to an app that, by its July 2026 count, already had one million paying users.

Betr: from micro-betting to a gaming super app

Betr was co-founded in 2022 by Joey Levy, who also co-founded betting data company Simplebet, and Jake Paul. The first product let users bet on single plays inside a game, such as whether the next football play would be a run or a pass, Front Office Sports reported. Its 2023 release said the betting business was live in Ohio and Massachusetts.

The founding idea was that a media arm could cut the cost of finding customers. Betr’s release said Betr Media was “driving low-to-no-CAC” for the gaming side. Customer acquisition cost, or CAC, is what a company spends in marketing to win one paying user; cheap reach from social video only pays off if those viewers become paying users.

By 2026 the product had changed. A July 2026 release described four live products, a picks game, a social sportsbook, a social casino and an arcade, available across most of the US. The September release described a platform of five products and said Betr was the first consumer app to integrate Polymarket. CEO Joey Levy explained the bet on breadth: nobody knows how regulation will settle, and having “several products regulated differently” in one app gives the company a hedge.

Jake Paul Betr funding rounds

Betr’s funding history is documented in a company release and press reports. A valuation is the price investors paid per share multiplied across the company; it is not the founders’ personal wealth, and Paul’s stake has not been disclosed.

Date Betr milestone (source)
2022 Founded by Levy and Paul (company)
May 2023 Deal to buy Chameleon platform for $7.45M (FOS)
Jun 2023 $35M raise at $300M pre-money (FOS)

Sep 2026 Betr 2.0 with Polymarket markets (company)

Both co-founders put money into the 2023 round, the company said, with Paul investing through Anti Fund. Pre-money valuation means the value agreed before the new cash is added.

W by Jake Paul: a body care brand built for Walmart

W is the most conventional of Paul’s companies, a men’s personal care line sold at a low price through one big retailer. The brand says it launched in June 2024 through Walmart, with roughly 3,900 stores stocking it and products priced under $10.

In August 2024, about two months in, Tubefilter reported a $14 million Series A for W at a valuation above $150 million. The round was led by Anti Fund and Shrug Capital. The company told The Hollywood Reporter at the time that it was on track to pass $50 million in sales by the end of 2024; that was a projection by the company, and no audited result has been published.

Most Valuable Promotions: owning the event, not just the fight

MVP, co-founded in 2021 with Nakisa Bidarian according to the company, is how Paul captures more of the money around boxing. A promoter stages the event and negotiates its broadcast and sponsorship deals, so the business can earn from fights its founder is not in. Amanda Serrano was MVP’s first signed fighter, and in July 2026 Tubefilter reported that TikTok would stream one of her title defenses live. MVP also moved into MMA in 2026, staging a Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano card on Netflix, Athlon Sports reported.

Anti Fund: the investing arm

Anti Fund, co-founded with Geoffrey Woo in 2021, according to People, is the thread connecting the other companies; it invested in Betr’s 2023 round and led W’s Series A. In June 2026, Tubefilter reported that the firm had closed an oversubscribed Growth I fund of $100 million. A fund’s size is money committed by its investors, not money owned by the partners.

What went right and what is still unproven

The record so far shows strong fundraising and distribution, with fewer independently verified operating numbers.

  • Right: Betr raised money at rising valuations between 2023 and its later round, and by 2026 reported one million paying users. W secured national shelf space at launch, and MVP has placed events with Netflix and TikTok.
  • Shifted: Betr’s 2023 plan centered on a licensed betting app in a handful of states. Its 2026 releases describe a different mix built around picks, social games and prediction markets, which the company presents as a deliberate response to regulatory uncertainty.
  • Unproven: W’s $50 million sales target for 2024 was a company projection, and none of the three companies publishes audited results. Betr’s user count is also the company’s own figure.

Lessons for founders

  • Use the audience to lower acquisition cost, then prove retention. Betr’s pitch rested on cheap reach; its later product expansion is an attempt to keep users who arrive.
  • Pick a channel and go deep. W launched in one national retailer at one price point instead of spreading thin.
  • Diversify against regulation. Betr’s own CEO framed its multi-product app as a hedge against uncertain rules.
  • Own the platform around your talent. A promotion company keeps earning when the founder is not fighting.

For two other creator-built companies, compare Prime Hydration’s rise and slowdown and the Sidemen’s portfolio of brands. Betr’s most recent disclosed operating figure is its July 2026 count of one million paying users.
